Scenic Hudson recently spotted a previously unnoticed entry in the NY Thruway Authority's portion of the Mid-Hudson South 1994/95-1998/99 Transportation Improvement Program. Item number H 24 represents a project to construct a 4th lane in each direction on the Thruway (I-
287) from the Tappan Zee Bridge about 12 miles into Rockland County. This would undoubtedly complement the HOV lane expansions planned for I-287 in Westchester County. Scenic Hudson is seeking more information on the project.
